Title: Associate Creative Director
Location: San Jose, California
Compensation: low to mid 100's + stock

Do you have an interest in gaming and online social networking? Would you like to help lead the overall artistic vision for the company and bring its strategy to life? If so, a rapidly growing teen oriented social networking site that is vastly expanding its virtual world is seeking an Associate Creative Director to help lead the overall artistic vision and execution for the company and drive exceptional creative from concept to completion.

Working collaboratively with the Creative Director and other creative team members, including writers, designers and illustrators, the Associate Creative Director will assist in bringing the company's strategy to life in the marketplace and expand its online world's depth. Reporting directly to the Creative Director, the Associate Creative Director will join a management team that includes professionals in user experience, illustration and 3D game design.

The ideal candidate will have a background in gaming, social networking or Web 2.0 and will be a strategic person who can think big and serve as a right-hand to the Creative Director. This could be a next step for a Senior Art Director or for someone looking to go to the client-side at the ACD level. Responsibilities:
* Drive exceptional creative from concept to completion
* Help lead the overall artistic vision and execution for the company
* Apply brand identity systems, typography, photography, color and other ingredients appropriately to create innovative visual solutions that meet business and user needs
* Manage multiple deadlines and consistently deliver creative on target and on time
* Coordinate with outside agencies and manage internal clients
* Maintain a continuing search for best-of-class talent; serve as a mentor to the current team
* Work with the project manager to ensure delivery of a high volume of project traffic
* Collaborate with strategy, sales, product, account and business development teams to create and develop new business opportunities
* Present creative solutions to management and project owners

Requirements:
* More than seven years of experience in design/advertising agency (or related experience)
* B.A./B.S. degree in graphic design, advertising or related field
* Proven track record of creative leadership
* World-class creative thinking and exceptional design skills
* Fluency in the languages, processes and deliverables of creative disciplines (design, copywriting, architecture, user experience and customer insight)
* Multi-tasking and project-management skills; able to see creative projects through from concept to completion
* Strong conceptual design, collaborative and organizational skills
* Experience in Web 2.0 and social networking
* Outstanding relationship building and communication skills
* Enjoy leading and motivating others and being part of a fun-loving, hard working team
* Superb ability to cultivate great relationships and build trust with a creative team of differing professional levels and diverse personalities
* Deep experience with the teen/tween audience a plus
* Sense of humor
